Lead Crew Member – Street Maintenance: Asphalt
Starting Salary: $41,872

Join our dedicated team and lead street repairs and maintenance in a dynamic public works environment. We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Lead Crew Member that will oversee the Asphalt crew.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and engage in public works street repairs and maintenance.
Assign, participate in, and inspect asphalt work as required.
Oversee and engage in the repair and installation of roads, service cuts, utility services, curbs, and gutters.
Conduct digging, patching, and compacting with appropriate base and amounts of asphalt; level patches with the road.
Perform auxiliary duties, including working overtime during emergencies, weather events, and snow removal operations.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 12 months of experience in a street and road repair environment.
Experience and awareness of working in and around vehicular traffic.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and read blueprints.
Proficient in using street and road repair utility tools and equipment.
Effective communication skills with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers.
Must obtain and maintain Commonwealth of VA Flagging Certification.
Valid Virginia Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
Criminal background and driving record checks required.
